ABOUT ME

I'M BRYONY.

As a child I was always in fancy dress. Fairy outfits, superwoman suits – once I even dressed up as a cobweb. So it was no surprise to my family when I announced that I was going to pursue theatre.

Now, I’m an emerging theatre-maker, writer and producer based in the Scottish Highlands.

During my training at the Fontainebleau School of Acting in France and ArtsEd in London, I discovered that my love lies not in performing, but in creating theatre.

In 2024, I cofounded Mad Bad Productions with five friends who share a similar passion. We have been creating ever since.

Alongside Mad Bad, I work as a freelance producer across a range of theatre companies and projects, while also developing my own writing in plays and poetry. I’m particularly drawn to experimental work – blending forms, styles, and disciplines – and to making and producing theatre that can travel beyond traditional venues into unconventional spaces. My poetry often finds its way into my plays, weaving through them in some way or another.

I am excited to continue developing my voice in this industry, and to continue paying homage to the little girl in the mermaid costume.
